Start your apprenticeship with Gentoo

This year, Gentoo apprenticeships are open exclusively to:

 - Gentoo customers
 - Trade Academy students
 - People with lived experience of care
 - Relatives of Gentoo colleagues

Aged 19+ and don’t have GCSEs?

In line with GOV.UK guidance, we’ve removed GCSE requirements where possible to make it easier for more people to apply—whatever your education journey looks like.

Not eligible this time?

We offer apprenticeships every year, so keep an eye on our careers website for future opportunities.

What happens if you apply?

Firstly, you’ll submit your details and let us know which apprenticeships you’re applying for using the application form below - no CV required.

All applications will then be reviewed after the closing date of 25 May. If you meet the entry‑level criteria outlined, we’ll be in touch to invite you to a first stage interview, which will take place as part of a Skills Assessment & Insight Day.

These friendly informative sessions will be held at our Doxford Park office. It’s a chance for you to meet us, learn more about the apprenticeship, and show us your strengths, interests, and potential even if this is your very first step into work.

After these sessions, some candidates will be invited to a final stage interview with managers from the relevant business areas - another opportunity to learn more about the role and tell us about your interests, what motivates you, and what you’d like to learn during the apprenticeship. No previous work experience is expected.

If you’re not selected to progress, we’ll still be in touch to let you know and thank you for taking the time to apply.

Need any support or adjustments during the process? Just let us know by emailing recruitment@gentoogroup.com and we will support you where we can.

Good luck - we can’t wait to hear from you!
