Paying other charges

Other charges include service charges, ground rents and Shared Ownership rent. You can pay these charges by phone, online, Direct Debit, standing order or bank transfer.

Other charges

If you are a customer, service charges, and water and sewerage are part of your rent. There is a list of charges in your tenancy agreement. They include maintaining communal areas, equipment and facilities like:

  • bin chutes
  • CCTV
  • emergency lighting
  • lifts
  • secure door entry systems

If you are a leaseholder, your lease sets out what your service charge pays for, your ground rent, and how you can pay it.

Ways you can pay

You can:

  • pay other charges online, select ‘Sundry Debtors’ on the first online payment screen
  • call our Credit Control Team on 0191 525 5802, Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5pm, and Friday, 8:30am to 12:30pm
  • set up a Direct Debit
  • set up a standing order or pay by bank transfer

To set up a Direct Debit, call our Credit Control Team on 0191 525 5802. They are available Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5pm, and Friday, 8:30am to 12:30pm.
