The Communications team is responsible for delivering all internal and external communications on behalf of Gentoo, working with stakeholders to promote its activities across all channels. Planning and delivering content for the Group’s social media channels and internal communications platforms Ensuring the Group’s brand guidelines are applied to all communications and marketing products Assisting with the planning and delivery of events. Providing general administrative support to the team, including setting up and maintaining filing systems, processing invoices, and organising meetings and any hospitality. Customer Care Assistant

You will be part of a team working alongside the Construction Team and Sub - Contractors to ensure all defects are recorded and repairs are complete on time. The roles on offer are on a fixed term contract initially for 12 months and candidates must hold a full UK driver's licence to fulfil the requirements of the role. Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8.30 – 5.15 Friday 8.30 – 12.30 We are looking for individuals who are passionate about customer service, and who can demonstrate previous experience in providing first-class customer service to internal and external customers managing enquiries using multiple communication channels, including telephone, website queries and email. Work closely with the Customer Care Coordinators to ensure Customers are updated on time. Answer all incoming calls and emails. Record all customer defects on our defects management system. Respond to all incoming enquiries either via the website, email or telephone. Prioritise customer requests based on need and urgency. Diarise weekly customer calls to confirm customer availability and appointments. Arrange Customer visits as and when required. Work closely with sub-contractors to ensure customer appointments are booked and works are complete. Undertake administrative tasks as and when required. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in the role of Empty Homes Supervisor. The Supervisor will work alongside a team of trades colleagues, Repairs and Maintenance Managers and Operations Managers within our Property Maintenance Service. Reporting into the Repairs and Maintenance Manager, you will be an integral part of a wider Management team in the successful delivery of repairs across our housing stock with a budget in excess on £10M. You will assist in the leadership of a team of trades colleagues to effectively deliver a varied range of repairs to meet the needs of our tenants. The successful applicant will lead on the effective supervision of the empty homes process ensuring performance targets and quality standards are met. You will be empowered in your role and expected to take ownership of your team and service area alongside your Repairs and Maintenance Manager

The successful candidate will be joining the Empty Homes Team working citywide helping to complete repairs and bringing empty properties back up to our lettable standard. Thus allowing the group to relet properties and provide quality homes for our customers. The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo. Plumber
About the role of Plumber
Gentoo is investing in and expanding its Property Maintenance Team and has new opportunities for qualified Plumbers to join the Group. Our tenants are at the heart of what we do at Gentoo, therefore, providing excellent customer service is paramount in this role. You will need to be a people person with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of teams, colleagues, and customers within Gentoo to ensure we deliver excellent customer service every time. Your working week: We offer reduced working hours through the summer with 1 pm and 3 pm finishes available. During the winter our Plumbers work up to 4.30 pm Mon – Fri. Occasional Sat morning working is required, when worked the following Friday will become a day off. Training and development opportunities are available to all Plumbers, including products and the potential for training in renewable energy air/ground source heat pumps and qualification renewal. We also can offer opportunities to progress within Gentoo. As a Plumber at Gentoo, you would carry out the following tasks across our housing stock in Sunderland: • Ensure the Group is compliant in Gas and day-to-day Plumbing repairs including Heating installs and Water Safety • Carry out responsive repairs to Gentoo properties including installation and maintenance of sanitary ware, lumbing/heating systems, soil and rainwater goods • Installation of gas boilers, heating systems, associated pipework and components • Testing, commissioning and de-commissioning of all the above components and services • Gentoo operates an Emergency Out of Hours Service, which you may be required to work on a rota basis as and when required, with the potential of additional pay up to £ 865 per week. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced results-focused Quantity Surveyor to join the team, based at our Doxford Park Sunderland head office. Our affordable homes plan involves building new estates in Sunderland delivering homes for Affordable Rent, Rent to Buy and Shared Ownership. With a focus on understanding the overall financial appraisal for designated schemes, and provide the relevant data for input monthly. Management of sub-contract accounts. Timely and accurate assessments of applications including payment and pay less notices working toward final account agreements. Provide technical and operational input and assistance where necessary in relation to any other construction initiatives undertaken by the Group. Develop an understanding of the designated project in areas such as contract, specification and pricing ensuring compliance with conditions throughout Monitor risk and opportunity schedules, managing risk from commencement to completion. Work closely with the project team to monitor progress and its effect on margin along with delay identification.
