National Residents’ Panel
The Health and Safety Executive is the Building Safety Regulator for all high-rise buildings in England. They are required by the Building Safety Act 2022 to create a Residents’ Panel.
The panel will be about 20 people who live in high-rise buildings in different locations and situations, including social housing, private rent and leaseholders.
Panel members represent residents and will use their real-life views and experiences to give advice, input and feedback to the Building Safety Regulator.
Local Building Safety Tenant and Community Voice Group
Gentoo has already created our own group for tenants and residents to share their views and experiences of living in our high-rise buildings.
If you are interested in getting involved, contact Sarah Duffy our Building Safety Manager. You can call 0191 525 5068 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like more information about anything to do with building safety, including the national panel and local group, Sarah is holding drop-in sessions in different buildings’ communal rooms during November.
The sessions are:
- 9 November in Australia Tower from 9am to midday
- 10 November in Zetland Square from 1pm to 4.30pm
- 14 November in Londonderry Tower from midday to 4.30pm
- 16 November in Hedworth Court from 9am to midday
- 22 November in Amble Tower from 9am to 1pm
- 24 November in City Hall from 9am to 1pm
All tenants, residents and leaseholders from our high-rise buildings are welcome to come to the sessions.
