£8.2 million and 3 new contractors for double glazing programme

We've appointed three additional contractors to help deliver our window replacement programme as part of this year’s £8.2m investment in double glazing.

We are now into the third year of our major programme to install uPVC double-glazed windows, to all of our properties by December 2023.

We have has appointed RE:GEN Group, Straightline North East and Nationwide Windows, to carry out the work alongside existing contractors Sekura Group, Anglian Windows and EQUANS (Formerly Engie Regeneration).

Marc Edwards, Associate Director of Asset Management and Property Investment at Gentoo Group said: “Since starting our major window replacement investment in 2019 we’ve completed window replacements in more than 3,000 properties across the city, and we are pleased to welcome the new contractors on board to help us deliver this investment and meet our ambitious target.

“We know that many of our tenants have waited several years for windows to be replaced and this is another important step forward in improving our properties and ensuring they are safe, secure and warm for our tenants.”

If you are a tenant and your home is included in the replacement scheme this year you will be directly contacted by our teams or our contractors.

The programme is part of our 2019-24 Business Plan that will see £300 million invested into existing homes and neighbourhoods over a five-year period.
