The UK will experience a different kind of Easter weekend this year, spending it at home to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. To help keep you entertained we’ve pulled together some fun at home activities to keep your Easter weekend at home just as special as usual, for you and your family.
Crafty Easter Eggs
Grab some card, scissors and felt tip pens to create some colourful Easter egg designs! You can even turn this activity into a fun competition between you and your family to see who can make the best Easter egg creation.
Grab your favourite family film and popcorn, turn off the lights and enjoy your very own cinema style movie night. Why not make a quiz based on the film for your family to take part in afterwards – the winner receives a bag of mini eggs!
Easter baking with only a few ingredients
Whilst it’s a bit of a challenge to get your hands on essentials like flour at the moment, swap your baking recipe for something simple like Easter rice crispy cakes! Use mini eggs, crème eggs and smarties to decorate your cakes for a yummy Easter treat.

Easter egg hunt
Arrange an Easter egg hunt in the comfort of your own home! You can find £1 chocolate Easter eggs at most supermarkets which make the perfect treasure for your children to find.
Hand, foot and fingerprint painting
If you have paints and paper leftover from recent arts and crafts activities, set up a crafty afternoon with some hand, food and fingerprint painting. You can create rabbit, duck and flowery creations or even make a new rainbow trail painting to hang in your window for everyone to enjoy!
