Essential Gentoo services to restart under COVID-19 restrictions

Since the Government introduced national restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have continued to monitor the situation and any developments around the pandemic in the context of Gentoo.

With the welfare of tenants, residents and employees our number one priority, we have continued to provide a small amount of vital services during the pandemic.

Following a significant review of Government guidance, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) advice and expectations relating to the safety of our estates and wider communities, we will be restarting a small number of services from Monday 20 April.

This mainly involves carrying out essential legislative gas safety checks within properties, grass cutting, street cleaning and other outdoor services on our estates.

All Gentoo members of staff will follow safe systems of work and adhere to strict social distancing guidelines. Staff will also wear the necessary PPE to carry out their duties.

We are committed to protecting you and will do everything we can to ensure your home and your community is kept safe and maintained during these challenging times.

Please remember you can continue to contact your Neighbourhood Coordinator about tenancy related matters during this period, as well as being able to pay your rent and report emergency repairs.
