A new way to find a home

Following a review of our Allocations policy, we are delighted to announce that we are launching our new allocations system on Friday 8 September 2017.

HomeHunt is a national, online, housing allocation platform for affordable and social housing. Not only is it easy to use, but it’s accessible on all devices and user-friendly. It will replace our current choice based lettings (CBL) system.

As a charitable community benefit society, we need to ensure we prioritise those who have a housing need and disabled and chronically sick people who need rehousing. All existing customers have been invited to re-register with HomeHunt, providing additional information in regards to their personal circumstances. This will allow our staff to assess their application and place them into one of four priority bands depending on their level of need.

While we carry out this important re-registration process all customers will continue to bid for homes using CBL, however, from 8 September they will only be able to bid for a home using HomeHunt.

Re-register with HomeHunt

If customers wish to retain their current date of registration they must re-register via HomeHunt within six months, or their date of registration will be lost.

New customers

From Friday 11 August 2017 any new customers will need to register with HomeHunt and complete a Gentoo application form. This simple process will take approximately 20 minutes.

You won’t be able to search or bid for a new home until the new system is live.
