On Friday 17 May, Gentoo will be taking part in IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia) celebrations.
The day stems back to 2004 and was started to draw the attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexuals, transgender, intersex people and all other people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.
To mark this day, there will be a stand in the reception area of our Galleries office dedicated to raising awareness of hate crime and how to report this, there will also be details further information on what’s available for LGBTQ population within the City.
Other events around the City that day include flag raising at the Civic Centre.
If you are in the area please come along and see us!
