Things we do not give our permission to do

This is a list of changes we would never give permission to do to your home or garden

We never give our permission to do things that:

  • would reduce the value of a property

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • installing solar panels
  • installing electrical fires, gas fires and wood-burning stoves
  • installing range cookers
  • installing a gas boiler
  • converting or boarding your loft and installing loft ladders because you must not store anything in your loft
  • adding artificial grass, decking, hot tubs, ponds, pigeon lofts or chicken coops to garden areas
  • converting outhouses and outbuildings
  • installing a garage, carport or any other lean-to structures
  • adding door or window shutters
  • adding leading to windows
  • painting or covering of window frames or window cills
  • fitting pet flaps to doors
  • removing internal walls or partitioning any room
  • adding polystyrene coving or tiles or ceiling cladding
  • artexing any surface
  • painting kitchen units, tiles or bathroom suites
  • covering kitchen units or benches with any vinyl covering
  • removing handrails, balustrades and banisters
  • removing a radiator (you can install a new radiator or move the radiator in the room)
