We're proudly supporting Gas Safety Week 2026 and encouraging customers and residents to take no chances when it comes to gas safety.
The national awareness campaign brings together organisations, businesses, community groups and Gas Safe registered engineers from across the UK to help keep people safe from the dangers associated with unsafe gas appliances and poorly maintained gas systems.
As a responsible landlord, we carry out annual gas safety checks in all homes with a gas supply, helping to protect customers, their families and neighbours from gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning.
This year’s theme,‘Take No Chances’, is a simple but important reminder that if something does not seem right, it should never be ignored. Whether it is an appliance showing warning signs, concerns about carbon monoxide, or you simply need some advice, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
At Gentoo, more than 90 Gas Safe registered colleagues are trained to service, repair and maintain gas appliances safely and professionally, helping to keep customers safe all year round.

As part of Gas Safety Week, we're encouraging customers and residents to take no chances by following these important gas safety tips:
• Always allow us access for your annual gas safety check. If your appointment isn’t convenient, its quick and easy to rearrange by calling us.
• Look out for warning signs that appliances may not be working correctly, such as yellow or orange flames, black marks around appliances, excessive condensation or recurring error codes.
• Be aware of the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, including headaches, dizziness, nausea, breathlessness, collapse and loss of consciousness.
• Test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms regularly to ensure they are working correctly.
• Keep vents and flues clear and unblocked.
• Never attempt DIY gas work.
