We're delighted to have won Best Affordable Housing Development at the Housing Executive Awards 2026 for our award-winning Cricketers Hill development in Sunderland.

Delivered in partnership with RE:GEN North East, Cricketers Hill has transformed a long-term derelict former quarry and landfill site into a thriving community of 115 affordable, energy-efficient homes. The development overcame significant engineering and infrastructure challenges to create a high-quality neighbourhood that customers are proud to call home.

The award recognises the hard work, expertise and determination of everyone involved in bringing the development to life. From overcoming complex site constraints to delivering sustainable homes and community spaces, the project demonstrates what can be achieved through collaboration, innovation and a shared commitment to providing high-quality affordable housing.

We're incredibly proud of our Development and Regeneration Team and would like to thank our partners, consultants and contractors whose support helped make this achievement possible.

We're also delighted to have been shortlisted for Best Repairs and Maintenance Team, recognising the fantastic work our colleagues do every day to keep customers safe, supported and in homes they're proud of.

This award is a proud moment for everyone involved and highlights our ongoing commitment to creating affordable homes, strengthening communities and making a positive difference across Sunderland.
