Our operations manager has been recognised as one of the housing sector’s influential stars after being named in the Inside Housing Management 30 list.
Vicky McGuire, Property Maintenance Operations Manager at Gentoo, has been named as one of just 30 individuals from across the housing sector, celebrating the very best talent working in housing management today.
The annual Inside Housing Management 30 list recognises professionals who are making a genuine difference to customers, communities and colleagues through strong leadership, innovation and a commitment to delivering high quality housing services.
Winners were announced this week at the Housing 2026 conference in Manchester and received hundreds of nominations from across the UK housing sector.
Vicky was recognised for her dedication to improving repairs and maintenance services at Gentoo, supporting colleagues and driving positive change in how repairs are delivered. Her work has helped shift services from a reactive approach to one that is more controlled, efficient and focused on the needs of customers.
Over the past year, our repairs and maintenance service has undergone significant transformation, with a strong focus on operational improvements and a customer-first approach. This has resulted in a 50% reduction in long-standing repair jobs, improving both service delivery and the overall customer experience.
Speaking of her award win, Vicky said: “I’m extremely proud to be named in the Inside Housing Management 30 list. This recognition reflects the hard work and commitment of the incredible teams I’m fortunate to work alongside every day. Over the past year, we’ve made real progress in improving our repairs and maintenance service, with a clear focus on doing what’s right for our customers. I’m passionate about continuing that journey, working together to deliver a service that is efficient, reliable and focused on providing a great experience for our customers."
