We are investing over £250k in our 2025 apprenticeship intake

We have announced we are investing over £250k in our 2025 apprenticeship intake.

An open day will take place on Saturday 10 May between 9.30am-1pm, at our head office at Emperor House, Doxford International Business Park, where anyone interested in an apprenticeship at Gentoo can come along and learn more about the vacancies on offer this year. Colleagues will be on hand to talk about the roles and give advice and information about applying for an apprenticeship.

We have welcomed over 350 apprentices since forming in 2001 and has a range of trade, housing and business roles available.

To ensure our customers are at the heart of everything we do, we will prioritise applications from our customers and young people leaving care If they meet the relevant entry criteria and they will be guaranteed an interview.

We are also taking advantage of recent changes to remove GCSE entry requirements for applicants over 19 where appropriate. This will ensure the apprenticeships as are accessible to as many people as possible.

Susan Fulton, Executive of Customer, People and Engagement at Gentoo Group said:

“Our popular apprenticeship scheme is an excellent opportunity to start your career at Gentoo. Our apprentices are the future of the organisation and every single one of them is a credit to us.

“This year, we have committed to offering more of the roles to our customers. This is something that is extremely important to us as an organisation to ensure we are supporting our communities.”

Will Howe, Business Administration apprentice, said:

“My apprenticeship with Gentoo has taught me many valuable skills.

"It is a great environment to work and learn and I am excited about the future here. I would recommend an apprenticeship at Gentoo to anyone who is looking to kickstart their career.”
