Be in to win!

We’ve launched a new campaign to encourage customers to be home for their repairs appointment to be in with a chance of winning £150.

Each customer who stays at home for a scheduled repairs appointment with Gentoo will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win £150. The draw will take place monthly with one winner been chosen at random.

The campaign only currently includes routine repair appointments. Compliance appointments such as gas and electrical checks are not included, however we will be looking to add these appointments into the prize draw soon.

Throughout 2023 – 24, 18,022 appointments were missed due to Gentoo colleagues not been able to gain access to properties. The cost of missed appointments to the Group was £1.5 million.

James Haste, Director of Property Maintenance at Gentoo said: “We’ve launched this campaign to help encourage our customers to be home for their repair appointments. This will allow us to reduce the cost of missed appointments and invest the money back into our repairs service.

“We’re committed to listening to our customers and making sure our repairs service meets their needs. Last year after consulting with customers, we changed our policy to enable us to complete a number of external repairs whilst customers were not home.

“We know things crop up, that’s why we’re reminding customers if they aren’t going to be home for their appointment, to get in touch and rearrange it to a more convenient time.”
