We have strengthened our housing management team with the appointment of Chris Roberts as our new Director of Customer.

Chris brings with him a wealth of experience in the customer service and housing sectors, previously working at Beyond Housing, Home Group, Ocado and Barclaycard.

He has experience in driving successful strategies to improve customer service, which will be crucial as we continue to deliver on our customer promise and Customer and Communities Strategy, which shapes how we work alongside customers, neighbourhoods and communities.

Speaking on his appointment, Chris said: “As a person who lives in the area I care about the region, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to help make a real difference for our customers and neighbourhoods.

“I’m looking forward to working with both customers and colleagues to first understand what is important to them and then get to work evolving and supporting the delivery of a quality service to our customers to help sustain tenancies and improve communities.”

Chris will join the Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for the strategic and operational direction of our full housing service, which includes tenancy support services such as wellbeing, tackling anti-social behaviour and the vital Money Matters service, as well as allocations and the High-Rise Residential Team.

Susie Thompson, Executive Director of Housing said: “I am delighted to have Chris join our housing senior leadership team.

“He has demonstrated outstanding leadership and transformation in his previous positions. His experience along with his passion to make a difference in the region is only going to enhance the service we provide to customers and help us to improve our neighbourhoods.”
