Gentoo Homes is recruiting a Construction Director

Gentoo Homes has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Director to join its team. This is a new role providing strategic leadership to enable our continued success across the North East and ensuring 5* house builder status is achieved. You’ll be responsible for leading the implementation of infrastructure and construction of up to 450 homes per year for both outright sale and affordable and a turnover of £55m pa.

Leading the Technical, Construction and Affordable Delivery teams, you’ll be an integral part of the senior management team that establishes the business plan targets and ensures delivery against all objectives. The successful candidate will have extensive experience from within the House Building sector, either at Director or Senior Manager level.  You will have strong financial and commercial awareness, ensuring that construction is delivered in a safe and profitable manner.

Analytical in your approach, you’ll be capable of reviewing a range of information, data and situations and making difficult decisions. You must be confident when dealing with contract management, able to negotiate, influence at all levels and communicate effectively. Thorough knowledge of NHBC is essential as is a full UK driving licence.
