Gentoo strengthens Property Maintenance management team with two new senior appointments

We have strengthened our Property Maintenance Team with two new senior appointments. Steve Lowther and Mark Davies have joined the Group as Head of Repairs and Operations Manager (Electrical).

The appointments come after several other new appointments in the last 12 months including the appointment of a new Director of Property Maintenance, Head of Property Compliance and two Operation Managers.

Both Steve and Mark will assist James Haste, Director of Property Maintenance and David Metcalf, Head of Property Compliance ensuring the Group delivers an efficient repairs service and remains compliant.

Mark joins the Group from Home Group where he was a Maintenance Manager for gas and electrical compliance. He started his career in electrical installation and maintenance and brings a wealth of knowledge with him having worked in the social housing sector for over 15 years through various roles.

Steve joins the Group with more than 30 years’ experience in repairs and maintenance in both the public and private sector. A career that started in electrical maintenance, Steve moved into the supervising and then managing of general repairs and maintenance teams and has since been in senior positions responsible for service delivery for more than 15 years.

Speaking of his appointment, Steve Lowther said:

“I’m delighted to have joined Gentoo where I have been given the opportunity to lead and develop the delivery of a repairs team that provides essential services for our tenants across the City of Sunderland area.”

Speaking of his appointment, Mark Davies said:
