Williamson Park

Williamson Park is our new housing development in the Carley Hill area of Sunderland.

About the development

The development is built on the former quarry and landfill site in Carley Hill, on the north side of Emsworth Road. The development will have 110 two-, three- and four-bedroom houses, two-bedroom bungalows, and two-bedroom apartments.

Most of the properties will be available for affordable rent, and some will be available for Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy.

The houses will have:

  • a spacious and contemporary design
  • features like air source heat pumps, solar panels, and enhanced insulation
  • its own garden
  • at least one parking space

The development will have:

  • areas of green space for walking and exercising in the local area
  • a sustainable drainage system to reduce the risk of flooding
  • bat and bird boxes
  • flowering plants to attract bees and wildlife

We successfully secured outline planning permission in June 2022.
