Keeping you safe

Gentoo has been working with customers across the 3Ls and putting measures in place to ensure you continue to be safe in your home. 

Gentoo has: 

• Installed new signage to remind customers and visitors that no gas cylinders are permitted in the buildings.  
• Partnered with experts to conduct free e-vehicle health checks on e-bikes, e-scooters and mobility scooters. 
• Contacted all oxygen users and are supporting them to move to alternative homes. 
• Delivered a leaflet to all customers, addressing some of the frequently asked questions we have received following the assessments.  
• Hosted drop-in sessions to answer any questions or concerns.  
• Delivered an annual fire safety leaflet to every flat, with a focus on lithium-ion batteries. 

What you can do: 

• You play an important role in keeping your building safe. It is important you tell us if you: 
• Have a mobility scooter, e-scooter or e-bike 
• Would struggle to get out of the building using the staircase in an emergency  
• Use or store any gas bottles or cylinders in your home
