We have appointed Andrew Lister as Executive Director of Transformation to drive digital ambitions

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Lister as Executive Director of Transformation. This strategic appointment underlines our commitment to delivering a bold digital transformation that will benefit both colleagues and customers.

Having served as a Gentoo Board member for the past two years and recently supported the Executive Team, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to this new role. He will lead the Group’s PMO, business analysis, and business intelligence teams, with a focus on accelerating digital transformation across the organisation.

Louise Bassett, Chief Executive Officer at Gentoo, commented: “We have big ambitions for digital transformation at Gentoo, and Andrew’s expertise and leadership will help us deliver the change our customers and colleagues need and deserve. This role is a strategic investment that will deliver a return for the Group and is necessary to drive the digital change we need at Gentoo.”

Andrew has previously held senior roles at organisations including Balfour Beatty and Serco, and has led major transformation programmes focused on improving service levels, customer satisfaction, cost savings, and digital innovation such as cloud migrations, big data, and analytics.

Andrew commented: “Having served on the Board over the past two years, I have seen first-hand the passion, commitment, and sense of purpose that runs through this organisation. It’s this spirit and our shared ambition to make a real difference - that has inspired me to take on this new role. I am genuinely excited to join such a brilliant team with a strong social purpose. My time on the Board has given me valuable insight into what is needed to deliver success, and I am looking forward to working alongside colleagues across the Group to help shape our digital future and deliver meaningful change for both our people and our customers.”

Andrew will step down from the Board with immediate effect as he takes up his new executive role.
