Gentoo strengthen their Board with brand new appointment

Gentoo has further strengthened its Board with the appointment of Dr Nichola Stefanou as a Non-Executive Director.


Nichola is the Chief Executive Officer at Healthcare Management Trust , a charitable organisation who provides market leading care solutions for individuals with complex needs.  They focus on serving marginalised and deprived communities with compassion and excellence.  
Nichola has over 20 years of experience in health and social care, including senior leadership positions in the NHS, Social Housing and higher education.

Speaking about her new role, Nichola said: “I am thrilled to be joining Gentoo’s Board.  I admire the work that has been done by Gentoo in the past couple of years and I am excited to contribute to its future success and growth.  

“I am really passionate about integrating community services to reduce health inequalities and I believe my experience in this area will contribute to the organisation’s ongoing success.”

Louise Bassett, Chief Executive Officer at Gentoo, said: “I am excited to have someone with Nichola’s background and values on our Board.  Our already amazing Board have helped us achieve the highest grading for Governance the new Consumer Standards in 2024 and I am looking forward to Nichola helping us build on this in 2025”.
