Your home, your safety

Gentoo is responsible for making sure your building is safe for you to live in. This includes managing risks from fire and structural failure.

Gentoo is accountable to The Building Safety Regulator, who was established under the Building Safety Act 2022 to:

  • regulate higher-risk buildings
  • raise safety standards of in buildings

As a customer living in a high-rise residential building, you have new rights under the Building Safety Act 2022. This includes your right to know who is legally responsible for managing fire and structural safety your building and rights to request information about your building.
