About our annual documents

We present our income, expenses, assets and liabilities in our annual accounts and financial statements. As a charitable community benefit society without any shareholders, we reinvest profits to help achieve our strategic aims.

We measure the social and economic effect we have on our customers, communities and colleagues. This includes our services, policies, projects and programmes because we give people more than a place to live. We support our most vulnerable customers, people in financial hardship and take care of our neighbourhoods.

Our vision is to have great homes, strong communities and inspired people across Sunderland.

Other frameworks we use

We use the HACT (Housing Associations’ Charitable Trust) Wellbeing Valuation Approach and the National TOMs (Themes, Outcomes and Measures) Framework to measure the effect of some of our outcomes.

These are robust social value measurement tools we use to accurately measure how much something has a positive effect on our people and communities. It allows us to place a value on things that do not get a market value by being bought or sold.
