Updating our housing register and online bidding process

We have more information about changes to how you bid for properties and apply to join our housing register.

Our new online housing register will be available on Monday 3 April. Before we switch to it, we will transfer existing accounts and applications from HomeHunt.

Changing existing or creating new HomeHunt accounts

At 5pm on Thursday 16 March, you will be unable to:

  • create a new account and housing application
  • edit an existing account or housing application

The only exception is if you have a HomeHunt account and your contact details or members of your household change.

Contact our Allocations Team and they will update your account. To contact the team, you can:

We will continue to handle exceptional circumstances outside of HomeHunt like we do now.

New online housing register

When the new housing register is available on 3 April, you will be able to:

  • create a new account and apply to join our housing register
  • edit an account and application we transferred from HomeHunt

People who have HomeHunt accounts will need to check and confirm their existing details and enter some information that is new to application.

Advertising available properties

We will continue to advertise available properties on HomeHunt every week until midday on Wednesday 12 April. If you are interested in one of these properties, bid for it on HomeHunt.

From 2pm on 12 April, we will advertise available properties and manage bids on the new online housing register. We will only use HomeHunt to manage bids for properties that we advertised on HomeHunt.

Further information

We will publish more information about the new system in the next 2 weeks, including help and support information.

This update follows our previous news story about changes to how you bid for properties and apply to join our housing register.
