You may only park a car on a properly built driveway. You must not park your vehicle anywhere that will cause a nuisance to your neighbours. If you want to build a driveway, you must first get our written permission. If we give you permission, you must also arrange for Sunderland City Council to build a footpath crossing. If you want to park a vehicle other than a car at your property you must first receive our written permission. This includes caravans, vans, trailers, commercial vehicles, horse boxes/traps etc.

You must ensure you put all rubbish in the green wheeled bin or black sacks and leave it out for collection on the appropriate day. You should put rubbish suitable for recycling in the blue bin or recycling box. If you live in a high rise property you must dispose of all rubbish correctly. Sunderland City Council can collect large items of furniture or other items. There will be a charge for this.

You must get written permission beforehand if you want to put up a shed or outbuildings in your garden.

If you have your own garden you must look after it. You must put garden waste in the brown wheeled bin, or in a compost bin. Please note Sunderland City Council charge for this service.

If you have problems with mice, insects or other pests, you must contact Sunderland City Council, Environmental Health Department. Sunderland City Council will charge for
this service.

You can only keep small domestic pets in your home. Gentoo will determine what is classified as a small domestic pet. You can keep no more than two cats or dogs and you must not allow your animals to cause nuisance to neighbours. If you live in a property which has a shared entrance or is part of an extra care scheme, you must obtain written permission from us before keeping any pets as you may not be permitted to do so or the number of pets you are allowed may be restricted.

You must not carry out repairs to vehicles over a long period of time outside your home, as set out in your Tenancy Agreement. We will take action against you if you breach this condition.

You must keep your home in a good, clean condition and decorate when required.
