We are currently recruiting an Admin Support Assistant to join our Property Investment team to work within the Asbestos Management function on a fixed term basis, until February 2025. The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo. Key responsibilities will include the following, a full job description is available to view at www.gentoogroup.com/careers: - Deal with day-to-day queries through management of email and telephone enquiries from both internal and external customers. - Administration duties to support the department as required including (but not limited to); arrangement of meetings, raising orders, recording and inputting data, post, archiving, filing, updating/retrieval of records. - Populating contractor key performance indicators prior to contractor meetings. - Updating of the asbestos module of the asset management database as required, using CSV data supplied by a third party. - Managing and updating spreadsheets, assisting the Group Asbestos Manager with areas of finance. - Preparation of documents using Microsoft Word. - Arrangement and management of appointments for asbestos surveys when required. - Collate and prepare Tenant Information Sheets to send out to customers.

Within this role you will play a vital part in keep our neighbourhoods and communal areas clean and tidy for our customers to enjoy. You will be required to work with minimum supervision both independently and as part of a wider team. We are currently recruiting for a General Maintenance Employee (GME) to join the growing Electrical team; it is essential you hold a full UK drivers’ licence to be considered for this position. The role will require you to carry out routine inspections and checks on essential safety systems and associated ancillary equipment, keeping Gentoo Group compliant for fire and electrical safety. Weekly functional fire alarm testing ensuring the system sounds, operates and signals correctly. Functional testing of communal automatic opening doors and automatic opening vents / smoke control systems, ensuring they operate correctly. Ensure all procedures are followed and any defects or maintenance works identified are reported promptly. Utilise effective information recording systems and complete relevant paperwork in an appropriate manner to the requirements of Gentoo Group to ensure legislative, statutory and organisational timescales and KPI’s are met. Ensure a positive and inclusive attitude to internal, external customers and stakeholders, whilst always providing a high-quality customer focused service.

We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Commercial to join the Gentoo Homes Management Team and provide support to the Homes and Affordable Delivery Teams. Where you will be responsible for the implementation of infrastructure and construction of up to 250 homes per year. Gentoo Homes is the private house-building arm of Gentoo Group that builds homes for sale throughout the North East. These sales generate a surplus, which is then reinvested back into the delivery of affordable homes. This includes building new homes for rent. We have ambitious growth plans, which involve the construction of 900 new affordable homes at an investment of £130 million.
