About the role

This is a new role which will bring the opportunity to for the successful candidate to develop into an integral part of the Asset Team, principle accountabilities include; 

• Identify improvements and efficiencies in the distribution of district heating to minimise losses and maximise opportunities for income generation.
• To support new District Heating connections, and disconnection as well as promoting change in a customer focussed environment.
• To lead on the income generation from any of the Groups District Heating Schemes.
• 
Leading on the design and specification of improvements to building energy services and tendering and support the Delivery Compliance Team on the installation of work on site.
• To support the Delivery Compliance Team with the ongoing maintenance contracts.
• To continually monitor the District heating Performance, identifying anomalies and, co-ordinating a quick response turn around to repair faults with installs in the groups portfolio
• To positively lead on considering Fuel Poor Initiatives in relation to projects and improvements within our assets.
• To support on the investigation of new initiatives and external funding opportunities in relation to Energy Efficiency, Eco Homes Principles, Renewable Energy and Sustainability Principles.
• To understand current national, international and local sustainability issues and highlight any implications for the Group.

What we are looking for 

The successful candidate will join the Asset Sustainability Manager and a Sustainability Officer (PV). We require someone with;

• Technical ability to evaluate performance and suggest technical improvements to current District and Community Heating projects to maximise efficiency.
• Demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building standards, compliance obligations, planning regulations, regulatory standards, and leasehold legislation. 
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of current regulations appropriate to mechanical services to domestic and commercial property installations, safety procedures, RIDDOR procedures and certification requirements 
• Ability to explore options with metering and billing and assist with designs for new projects. 
• Knowledge and experience of heat metering, renewable technologies and solutions to decarbonise housing stock.
• Customer focused
• Have the ability to translate technical information to a range of stakeholders at different levels verbally and in writing.
• Experience in working with Spreadsheets, analysing performance and presenting data.
• Experience in creating specifications for tenders and contract negotiation would be advantages.
• Experience working within a technical, mechanical or electrical role or equivalent.
• Passionate and motivated person who has a desire to make a difference

We are looking for a part time Customer Service Assistant to provide a knowledgeable and professional service to customers. Although the current vacancy is based at our city centre Athenaeum Office, you may be required to work at any office within the city. About the role

The post-holder will be responsible for the management of the effective delivery, co-ordination and certification of Gentoo’s Compliance obligations in relation to Electrical services including cyclical, responsive and void operations to domestic, commercial and sheltered accommodation. This includes leading trade staff and managers in the areas of electrical testing, maintenance and repair of emergency lighting systems, CCTV, PV, MVHR, ventilation, intruder alarms, lightning conductors, smoke detection, automatic gates and barriers, portable appliance testing and control of the Group’s small plant & tools section. 

As a member of the senior team, you will be key to ensuring that the R&M Compliance section demonstrates value for money and efficiencies whilst delivering excellent performance in a customer focussed manner with a firm control of budgets. 

What we are looking for

We are looking for a fully experienced Electrical manager with extensive knowledge of operating at a senior level with the background and technical qualifications to lead, manage and direct Gentoo’s cyclical, responsive and voids electrical services Compliance operation on large volume domestic, commercial and sheltered accommodation. 

Leading and managing change that contributes to our Compliance challenges will form a big part of the role and it is expected the post-holder will have demonstrable experience of introducing positive innovation, efficiencies and improvements to a diverse electrical operation whilst maintaining effective service delivery. 

Our ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge and understanding of the whole range and types of electrical installations and the challenges of delivering a service with social housing issues and sensitivities. Proficiency in Health and Safety matters, budget management and experience in managing a large in-house team of trade staff and managers is essential for the role.

Cyclical electrical works and responsive repairs delivery is a key offer to our customers and candidates should be able to demonstrate evidence of achieving excellence in delivery of services and commitment to continuous improvement

About the role

The Finance team are recruiting a Credit Controller on a 6 month fixed term contract. The post holder will be responsible for issuing invoices and recovering the Groups income including service charges, ground rent and shared ownership rents. 
The applicant will monitor the timely receipt of income which will include liaising with customers via the telephone, e-mail and letter. The applicant will have responsibility for completing monthly customer account reconciliations, issuing customer refunds and statements of accounts.

What we are looking for

Knowledge or experience of credit control processes, good communication skills to liaise with external customers and colleagues across the business. Experience in the use of IT systems including Microsoft packages. Wider knowledge or experience of other transactional finance functions including Accounts Payable and Transactional Banking, would be desirable but not essential.
