Gentoo Homes wins place on new £8 billion Framework

Gentoo Homes has successfully secured a place on the Homes and Communities Agency’s (HCA) new £8 billion Delivery Partner Panel (DPP3).

Joining the North East, Yorkshire and Humber panel will allow Gentoo Homes to bid for suitable public land opportunities through this framework.

DPP3 will be used to deliver residential developments over the course of the next four years, enabling successful house builders to speed up the procurement of housing led developments.

Previous generations of the Panel (DPP1 and DPP2), responsible for delivering more than 43,000 homes across the country over a seven-year period, have led to two successful land acquisitions from the HCA by Gentoo Homes’, comprising its new flagship Cottier Grange development in Prudhoe, where Gentoo is redeveloping the former Prudhoe Hospital site to build 404 new homes, as well as a forthcoming exciting development in Lanchester, Durham.

Colin Wood, Managing Director of Gentoo Homes, said: “We are thrilled to have secured a place on the HCA’s new Delivery Partner Panel. This success reinforces our commitment and passion to delivering much-needed high quality, sustainable homes to the North East and we are looking forward to continuing our strong working relationship with the HCA to achieve this.”

The news complements Gentoo Homes’ success over the year, after the Verve Partnership, of which Gentoo is a part, secured funding of £3.9m from the HCA to build a range of affordable housing products across the North East, including Shared Ownership, to help local people realise home ownership.
